Rhythmic Blogging

I'm dedicated to be being a stay at home mom this year.  For me this is quite a challenge, no matter how much I love my little mini-kins.  I was wired a little differently, needing more balance & variety to appreciate all I have been given in life. Being total care-giver of 2 small needy ones is quite a challenge for me.

Blogging may just get me through it =)  I have some goals for the year, which I'm calling "My Year in Sabbath."  This is overall a year of break from the busy that has become normal in my life to focus on what is most important for me to focus on.  The stage I'm in screams "YOUNG MOTHER" and I & my kids really know it.  So I break from that "norm" & re-create a new one...

Variety is going to be a key to my survival of this sabbath year at home.  I plan on learning a whole lot of practices that should help me keep my sanity.  Scrapbooking, house cleaning, & homecooking...just to name a few =)  Its kind of revolutionary – to firm up a foundation at home allows me to move outward from that central focus – in short, it makes me a better ~ whatever (you fill in the blank) ~ to do the home thing well because it is what I am about at my core.  I am not happy when my kids are loopy, when my home is filthy, & when my family's tummies are filled with crunchy foods overrun by unhealthiness.  No matter how successful everything else is, I feel like a failure when I fail at home.

So my year of moving toward sabbath & success begins.  I journey on.
